On the occasion of the publication of the first issue of International Highway News, I would like to offer my congratulations and words of gratitude.

The idea for an international highway and a Japan-Korea tunnel came from President Sun Myung Moon, the founder of all unification movements, at the 10th ICUS (International Conference on Scientific Unification) held in Seoul, South Korea in November 1981. It was proposed. At the suggestion of President Sun Myung Moon, the International Highway Construction Corporation was established in April 1982 under the leadership of Chairman Osamu Kuboki and Chairman Gentaro Kajikuri.

Then, in January 2009, the International Highway Foundation, a general incorporated foundation, was established with me and Tokuno as the chairman, and under the leadership of Chairman Gentaro Kajikuri, and we decided to inherit the contents of the International Highway Construction Corporation as a general incorporated foundation and make a fresh start. I did. Today, the International Highway Foundation, a general incorporated foundation, is currently operated under the leadership of Chairman Masuo Oe, who is the successor of Chairman Kajikuri, with Tokuno and I as Chairman.

First, I would like to introduce the five representative approaches advocated by President Sun Myung Moon to achieve world peace.

The first is the realization of world peace through the sharing of common values and common ideas based on true love.

The core spirit and ideology of these shared values and common ideas can be expressed in the following three points. The first point is the concept of coexistence and co-prosperity, or ``living together.'' The second point is the idea/idea of ``living for the sake of the other person,'' and the third point is the idea/thought of ``loving even your enemies.''

The second approach to achieving world peace is to achieve world peace by encouraging international marriage, which connects the world with true love, life, and lineage.

Even if two countries have historically been enemies, through international marriages between young men and women, those two countries become related, and by having common descendants, the two countries become closer to each other. We will create an international environment in which people will form blood ties, become relatives, and have a natural feeling that they no longer want to go to war. President Sun Myung Moon advocated that this is one of the shortcuts to achieving world peace.

The third approach to achieving world peace is to avoid the tragedy of war caused by religious conflict and achieve world peace through reconciliation, harmony, and solidarity between religions.

In other words, it is the realization of world peace through an ultra-religious and extra-sectarian movement for harmony. A prime example of this is MEPI (Middle East Peace Initiative), advocated by President Sun Myung Moon. Leaders of the three major religions that have historically been in conflict in the Middle East, namely Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, have come together to hold conferences, conventions, and peace marches for peace in the Middle East from 2003 to today. I have led this event over 50 times over a period of 10 years.

The fourth approach to achieving world peace is to build a network of encirclement against communist countries by strengthening the coalition of liberal nations, and eventually bring together the communist world and even the communist bloc peacefully. It's a plan.

For example, as a specific example, President Sun Myung Moon said that in East Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the United States, which have common values and political systems of liberalism, democracy, and capitalism, have become completely one, and are still under the dictatorship of the Communist Party. It was argued that this was the basic plan for peace and development in East Asia, which would eventually bring together China and North Korea, a hereditary communist state, in a peaceful manner.

The fifth approach to achieving world peace is the proposal for the realization of this international highway and Japan-Korea tunnel.

President Sun Myung Moon will connect the world with roads, activate the exchange of people, goods, and culture, promote the leveling of technology and industry in Asia, and eventually expand this to a global level. This is a concept to realize an international highway and a Japan-Korea tunnel. To put it simply, roads are the pillars of the distribution network and are the arteries of life, and by connecting the entire world through roads, we can overcome the walls of borders and national interests and achieve world peace. The idea is to go there.

President Moon's vision can be summarized in the following three titles: (1) ``The international highway is a powerful means to achieve humanity's ideals.'' and (2) ``The East and the West.'' ``The idea of an international highway is to connect the homelands of the world.'' or (3) ``The international highway project is to create a high-speed transportation network that connects people around the world.'' With these expressions, President Sun Myung Moon said: The greatest dream project in human history was already proposed in November 1981.

Let us inherit this great dream project of President Sun Myung Moon and realize the Japan-Korea Tunnel by 2030 at the latest.
