Improving the roadway of the Iki/Ashibe slope shaft - August issue from the site

■Iki/Ashibe Diagonal Mine The road was prepared and the survey was finally carried out in preparation for the installation of the tunnel entrance.Dense forest
clearing and road construction at the planned site of Iki's Ashibe Diagonal Mine were carried out from July 29th to August 2nd. The clearing and road-making work on the 30,000 square meter site, which had turned into a dense forest over the past 40 years, has come to an end. Finally, we were able to drive around the premises in a light truck.

After cutting down trees to the width of the road (5 to 6 meters), we cut down bamboo roots with a mower, cut out tree stumps with a saw, and cut out the roots of large trees with a chainsaw to create a path. In addition, stones were collected and spread on the slope with steps, and soil was carried using a unicycle and filled in to create a gentle slope so that light trucks could go up and down. After working hard for half a year, we were finally able to drive a light truck around the site of the planned Iki Ashibe Incline. Now, the technical committee can carry out on-site reconnaissance, survey, and create a plan for the Iki/Ashibe slope base. Finally, the technical committee will begin surveying in mid-August.
