The July issue of Site News summarizes the opening ceremony that took place after the site office was set up at the Ashibe Incline Shaft site in Iki.

The Ashibe site will be a relay site connecting Karatsu and Tsushima. Located on the east coast of the island, it is a work tunnel for surveying and excavating the main tunnel that runs north along the east coast of the island, and is an important site that will also be the frontline for maintenance and inspection once the tunnel is completed.
