Japan-Korea Experts Forum held in Tsushima Visited the Japan-Korea Tunnel Tsushima/Aren site

The event was hosted by the Japan-Korea Tunnel Promotion Prefectural Council of Nagasaki Prefecture, welcoming 10 people from Korean academic and media circles to Tsushima for two days on November 15th and 16th, and related experts and local Tsushima experts also participated. Chairman Sato summed up the Japan-Korea undersea tunnel as a symbol of future-oriented cooperative relations, and that it has the meaning of a ``21st century Korean envoy,'' pointing out the importance of Tsushima as its center. He proposed a direction called ``Tsushima Shift.''

Furthermore, on the 16th, he toured the site of the Japan-Korea Tunnel Aren Slope, which is currently being constructed on the west coast of Tsushima, and said, ``Here in Tsushima, this site is where we can experience a new era for Japan and Korea and world peace.''
